Great advice! Thanks for the insight! You absolutely make some great points, but I feel like I am a point in my life and career where straightforward honesty and remaining authentic is of utmost importance. Explaining to a prospective employer that you didn’t have a work/life balance and frankly, you know your value and know your work ethic was deserving of better opportunity ; there’s no shame in that game. There’s such an emphasis on selling your “brand”, a facade, so to speak, and that approach takes away from just selling yourself. Chances are your pretty awesome and the employer that is meant to will see your potential value.

I was fired from my last job due to occurrence points but I did not know I was occurring the points and was not told by my manager or anything and it takes 6 months for each point to drop off so of course I didn’t have enough time to get them off so I never knew how to answer the question without getting personal so thank you so much for this!
