Madeline, I completely agree about owning it and learning from it. These days it is so in vogue to blame anyTHING or anyONE for something that goes wrong, including getting fired or laid off. Maybe, just maybe a lesson can be learned and that lesson could be painful. Ask anyone at a gym if they excel without pain and fatigue. Nope. Not a one. Why would it be any different in the work force? So, good advice to embrace the "failure" now when you're 22 or 27 or 31 rather than blame until your 52.
