My early life as a believer was filled with preaching on the end times and living in fear of the tribulation and missing out on the rapture. So much energy and fear put towards a subject that seem to lead me away from the peace Jesus seemed to be offering.
But then God...
God has led me to a multitude of awesome teachers like Tim Mackie of the @bibleproject And Dr. Michael Heiser Author of the Unseen Realm @DRMSH Both of which led me to this incredible author and scholar Matthew Halsted and his book "The End of the world as You Know It - What the Bible Really Says About the End Times and Why it is Good News."

Christians are constantly fascinated with the subject of the end times. Even as we just had a solar eclipse pass over the U.S.A. many thought the end was near and that was Rapture was finally here....again.
Over and over again Christians make our faith look foolish with the misuse of the book of Revelation.

Despite the nay-sayers, this video was great! Love this whole channel. I think that people are ready a fight at the first thought they don't agree with it and tear the video down.
Where is the Brotherhood here. I love when Heiser did " Let the (insert biblical term here) be ( same term). like Let the Bible be the Bible. We all have different opinions but instead of fighting about theses differences, find some common ground.
In the OT we read passages about Jesus and wonder how they missed it. They missed it for the same reason that we are missing it now. We're not going to know how it plays out until the minute it does. And then we'll all stand around saying duh. 😂😂

Another thought I had about the AntiChrist:

Since we know from Scripture that the lineage of Abraham, ISAAC and Jacob produced the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, does it not seem logical that the lineage of Abraham, ISHMAEL, etc would produce the AntiChrist?

To understand the mark of the beast, we must understand who and what is the Beast. John's Beast is Daniel's 4th Beast, and that is Rome personified in Rome's Emperor. Everything MUST fit within the Timeline the John was told, Opening in Rev 1:1 and 1:3 closing in Rev 22:6 and 22:10, especially when one sees God says to John in contrast to what he told Daniel. Daniel was told SEAL UP the words of the prophecy for the time is not yet, and John being told DO NOT seal up the prophecy for the time is at hand, does not and cannot be 2000 years later. Scripture is very clear.

For the learned guys supposed to explain things, many inaccuracies in the video. In the Revelation ch 17, first 11 verses: 7 hills is mentioned in reference to Babylon, not in reference to the Beast. That's a big difference. Babylon and Beast are separate entities. Beast comes out of the sea, not from the top of 7 hills. So using the Beast as the reference to Rome and Rome's 7 hills, is not correct. I wonder have those guys even read the original text?! So that theory that "Rome = Beast" falls apart, which in consequence refutes whatever else they hade theorised.
