Thank God for His word that gives us the signposts as we watch and wait for His coming Kingdom. Knowing scripture is vital to understanding the times in which we live. The Old Testament scriptures foreshadow what we see in the New Testament, and what we are seeing come to pass in this generation. Notice also in Revelation 13:8 it tells us who will worship the beast and its only those 'whose names are NOT written in the Lamb's book of life'. God's hand is upon those who are His. It is not true that the ten horns are ten nations.
Scripture specifically stated that they are ten Kings who have no Nation but who rule with the beast for an hour.

It is more likely that these ten kings are the leaders of ten major industries which have global authority such as:

The leader over the big tech industry.
The leader of the banking industry
The leader of the World health organization, as we are seeing now.
The leader of the military industrial complex.
The leader over All commerce.
The leader of a global education system
The leader of a global religion, etc

Also, again you incorrectly place The siege of Jerusalem which occurs during the wrath of God immediately before the return of Christ, at another time. Jesus was missed b/c Jews thought the messiah would be a warrior and free them of the Romans. They MISSED the heavenly messages b/c of earthy assumptions. Why is the mark of the beast a big deal?
It’s a perk that you get to join the beast system after you made the beast the lord of your life.
Mark or no mark, if Jesus isn’t the one you worship you will go to hell anyways.
The reason why you won’t be able to buy or sell without the mark is because you will be dead, for refusing to worship the image of the beast.
EXACTLY like what happened to the three Jewish men who didn’t worship king Nebuchadnezzar’s
Statue.
Worship of the image is a requirement
Worship of the image comes first.
The Mark is secondary.
