You made me literally laugh out loud this morning with, “Winning at life, but also kind of losing.” Every mom I know feels this way most of the time. Thanks for keeping it real!

We tried the chicken panini, I made it for breakfast today. I added some avocado and salad leaves and it looked like a very expensive fancy-shmancy store bought posh sandwich. It has become my daughter's new favourite instantly. Thank you. 😘😘

I was literally in the process of putting together a list of low effort meals I can make even when adhd+depression is kicking my butt and I don't feel like I can do anything. So this is great! And the energy you bring to your videos always galvanizes me and gets me moving again. <3

I decided on induction when we replaced our electric. Faster than gas, easy to control the heat and so easy to clean like an electric glass cooktop. It boils water in a pan faster than an electric kettle and won’t turn on if there is no pan on the burner. If you leave a pan on and it gets too hot, like hot enough to damage or cause a fire, it will turn off. Great for absentminded, elderly or ADD, like me. Haven’t had a mishap since owning it.

Cass, just a tip re the soup: please take a look inside the neck of the liquid chicken bouillon bottle. A while ago I was disgusted when something caught my eye. Mold can form very quickly inside the top of those bottles and unless you’re looking for it, you won’t see it. It freaked me out so I now use the better than bouillon and keep it refrigerated.

I'm a fan of gas for the hob and oven! I can control the flame and the oven doesn't have the hot spots. My other favorite thing with rotisserie chicken is to save the carcass and make my own stock- I use whatever veg scraps I have and control the salt and seasonings. When done, it goes in the freezer and i always have stock when I need it.

Thanks for keeping it real. My house came with an electric oven and gas stove top in one appliance. Best of both worlds.

If you are feeling really lazy you can get one of those salad in a bags (the kind with dressing and toppings) and mix those up with your chicken in a wrap. I really enjoy the Greek and Thai versions.

A gas stove is great for living in hurricane territory. When there is no electricity we are still cook and heat water to wash up. Generators are great to keep frigs cool and to run air conditioning but the gas helps not put any more pressure on the generator.

Gas cooking all the way! I changed from electric range to gas after two winters in Maine where we lost our electricity multiple times. Having a gas stove allows us to cook, bake and stay much warmer. I turn my oven on if the lights start flickering, because it has an electric start, but once started it stays on. I even have a vintage percolator so we can make coffee as well. Getting a whole house generator was not in the budget. As far as cooking with gas, it is instantly controllable up or down. This works for us. I love your channel. You make me laugh all the time. ❤

Thanks for all the recipe tips.
Even though we're on a homestead and I make most meals from meat and veg we grow ourselves, your ideas for using the leftovers were very inspiring.

The Instapot is my best friend. I pop a whole frozen homestead chicken in there with lots of water, salt, peppercorns, and a splash of ACV. I can turn it on for 1 hour during peak solar, and get plenty of stock. Meanwhile, I prep the vegetables. When the pressure releases, I pull out the chicken and put in the vegetables and maybe some barley, rice, beans, or pasta. While those come to pressure, I debone the bird. The timing works out well: by the time I finish deboning, it's time to stir the meat back into the pot and serve.

We live in an RV and kitchen fires are the stuff of nightmares. With the instapot I can walk away from the kitchen without fear❤❤❤

I’m totally electric! I’ve had gas stoves in two different houses and just don’t like dealing with the flames because, well, they’re REAL flames, like real fire!!! No thank you. I have an induction oven now and love it so much. I highly recommend it. Love you and thanks for such a great video! The recipes ALL look delicious and I’ll be making each and every one! 🥰😍💓
