Can we use edible soya nuggets which have crossed their expiry date and hence Inedible?

I have used Soya bean meal with great success on turf!
A bit of smell when it begins breaking down though.
Friends of mine bought fifty pounds and used it on 1500 sq. ft. and I was in shock because this would work out to two pounds of nitrogen per thousand but they loved it as they enjoy =)

Soybean meal is about $20 now for 50 pounds in 2022. Still way cheaper than the name brand organic fertilizer 4lb bags for $13.

I drink home made soy milk every day, The leftover is basically soy meal. I use it in my raised bed for vegetables. Just ditch it in a hole and burry it lol. I made sure to dig a different hole every day to spread it evenly around where I plant my crops.

It is not the only thing I bury. Along with it, I also have egg shells and banana peals buried together. I rarely use liquid fertilizer for my veggies. My tomato plants grew to be taller than me and had so many fruits. My broccoli went from fingernail size to more than a handful in just 2 weeks. And I am in northern Michigan.
