Former chipotle employee here. Chipotle rice is super simple. They use a little oil and bay leaves in the water while cooking, when its done its mixed with celantro, a little salt, citris juice(Just use lime juice its better) and you're done. Its been a long time so anyone feel free to correct me, but its a super simple and tasty way to make rice.

8 Bowls comes out to $16 per bowl.

Its cheaper to get one bowl at a time going to chipotle and getting double meat

I meal prepped my own version of chipotle food one time and got 12 meals for just under $120. Also had Chicken, Steak, and my own version of sofritas. Took about an hour of prep and 2 hours to cook it all. 100% worth it during a 62 hour work week. 100% helps knowing how to cook.

I’ve been a manager at chipotle for 4 years, it’s not worth it to do catering unless ur getting it for 100+ ppl. It’s also Monterey Jack cheese btw 😭 we make everything we sell fresh every morning, we shred our own cheese, mash our own guac, cut our own veg, and marinate our own specialty meats. It’s a nightmare but that’s y they away with up charging EVERYTHING.

It is very doable to make the rice taste that good! I used to work at Chipotle. All it is = rice (it's cooked with a bit of oil) + cilantro + salt + lime juice tossed in a bowl

I love content creators who do this because it’s so helpful. I feel like I could definitely do this, probably twice the amount, for half the price. $140 seems a bit steep especially since some of the amounts are ridiculously small. Like the guac, cheese, and even the lettuce.

Looking forward to the devliery companies from a meal prep perspective. It's also nice to see someone in fitness that just doesn't ignore or down play sodium.

I think the best option for this use case (trying to get a full week of lunch/dinner) is the 3 meat custom order. You get more than double the bases (can double your rice and still get beans), a third protein tray (double chicken + steak), choose 4 toppings (triple fajita veggies and 1 cheese), double up your guac, double your corn order (or go 2 corn like you did and 2 salsas) and you can double up your tortillas. Pricing in my area (Indianapolis) is $150 before taxes. So for like $20 more you are getting ALOT more food. You could for sure get 10 meals out of this, if not 12. If you are getting 12, I think there is good value there.

Qdoba has a family meal you can do for takeout that is like this, but in the $40 range. It might be more cost effective, and you'd be less likely to get sick of it since it's less overall.

Dang that breaks down to like $17.50 per meal, would be cheaper and probably tastier/more fresh to just go in the store everyday sadly. Wish they could do the catering order for less

The rice is easy to make yourself. Make plain white rice. Once cooked, mix lime juice, cilantro and salt in a bowl and mix in rice.

I’m glad you mentioned the sodium content multiple times it’s such an overlooked ingredient that can very quickly cause all kinds of problems.

Looks like a perfect idea between me and my 19 year old son that’s a major gym head 😅. My workout is grocery shopping non -stop 😂 My only concern is adding the cheese and salad ahead of warming the meals. It’s probably best to leave them separately in the fridge so everything else can me warmed up all the way through first. I believe the beans are definitely more of the culprit with the bloating 😆

Can get one bowl for $9.85 with tax normal bowls with brown rice, chicken, beans, veggies, mild, corn, cheese. So times 10 equals $98.50 for 10 full delicious fresh bowls

This is definitely worth it for me, i spend around $120 a work week on meals which is 5 days, so $140 for 8 meals ain't bad, but definitely better to order separately, seems cheaper and you're getting it fresh and don't have to eat the same thing as with this your stuck with the main ingredients.
