Something I find rather puzzling here is that he is discussing the water used in the tank. Distilled water is quite cheap and you can buy it at a grocery store. So why use anything else ? I had first a five gallon and then a 10 gallon as a child. They were absolutely magical to me and I loved them. But I haven't had a tank since was 17, fifty years ago. Now I want to recapture the magic since I seem to be going through a second childhood. I remember the neon tetras. But beyond that all I can remember are angle fish. I would think there might be a bigger selection now ?

I have a 30 gal hexagon tank with a beta, African dwarf frog, spiny eel, neon tetra, and some corys, would the cichlid be okay to add to the tank? (They all get along btw, tanks been established for months)
