I agree on the female Bettas. They are much more colorful now then they used to be in the hobby. I think they are as colorful as the males now days.

I have a beautiful little female beta. When I got her she was just a little baby and she was all peach (I had no idea what color she was going to turn!) she has been alive for over a year now and she is a pretty purple blue with gorgeous indigo fins

I absolutely love female bettas. Thank you for giving them notice. I was told that you shouldn't keep female bettas together unless you have a large tank. Is that not true?

i too have a very soft spot for female bettas 😅❤️ most underrated fish despite how popular bettas are. in the right tank conditions, a female betta is just as breathtaking as a male!

Regular feeder minnows make great pets for small tank. Although about 1/2 will die due to them being mistreated as feeders, it's worth it. They're usually about 20 cents each! From my experience, even stuff smaller than 5 gallons can work. Although I recommend 5-10 gallons. They need filtration and although are marketing as "cold-water fish", I found that they thrive and only breed in warmer waters. I recommend keeping about 8 in a 5 gallon tank. They usually get about 1-2 inches, depending on the gender. They breed often and easily. I also recommend filling the tank with plants and hides, but still leaving space to swim. They are pretty active and cute. If you look in the wild, they often huddle real close to eachother in big groups. They have also done well with my betta. Overall a great fish.

if you have room for 5g tank, you should consider finding some more for a 10g. you wont regret it.

Very nice list. Some really beautiful fish here. My fav is the betta. Lately, I've been making a return to my aquarium roots with bettas and guppies. It's been a lot of fun! Thanks for posting.

Loved the double betta spots on this list. I know they're the same fish but males and females are so different! I've got 2 of my 4 in 5 gals and the other 2 in a couple 10 gals. HOPEFULLY on of my bettas will go in my 20 long soon with some neon tetras, but the tank has to finish cycling first. Loved the video, and cant wait for next week!

I love the White Cloud Minnows, at 15 gallon tank they are on their best.
