I recommend putting 20 tiger barbs into your 55 gallon aquarium. These are a super active fish that always makes a fun time feeding.

2. Tetras
Filling up a tank with tetras and live plants makes a beautiful display every time! I recommend adding 40 - 50 neon tetras to a heavily planted aquarium.

3. Rainbowfish
A 55 gallon aquarium is the perfect size for most species of rainbowfish. I recommend adding 8-10 boesemani rainbowfish to your aquarium as they are one of the most beautiful rainbowfish in my opinion.

4. Angelfish

Good list. I would add …
Giant Danios - Very hardy and active. Go well with peaceful or semi-aggressive tankmates.
South American Community - Tetras, Corys and Ancistrus. Possibly Hatchetfish and/or Dwarf Cichlids. ... I especially like the combination of Black Skirt and Black Neon Tetras. They seem to work really well together with no bullying, plus they're from the same region (Paraguay River Basin).

I have a 48gallon, 180l planted tank with 17 neon tetras and 4 small angels. Everyone gets along just fine. I water change every 7 days. Was wondering if you think thats too many fish or plenty. Thanks!
