I have seen the limo at the Henry Ford Museum. Surprisingly, it is surrounded merely by a simple cord. And I, like thousands of others I'm sure, touched it because I could.

It was like Johnson rode it like a trophy! What a monster!!

That car was Johnson’s trophy for planning the assassination, he loved that car.

I really would have thought that it would have been left untouched as evidence and then put into a museum.

They destroyed the evidence and knew what they were doing.

Regardless, that car should have been retired and left untouched.

Limo went to Detroit Nov 24, Dearborn, with the windshield replaced and the interior stripped. This was done at the Rouge Plant with a literal crime scene being whitewashed. The bullet trajectory could have been measured in detail augmenting the evidence being collected. It does not take a stretch of the imagination to know why.

During the 1964 New York senatorial campaign. LBJ campaigning for Robert Kennedy made JFK's brother ride in the remodeled 100-X. Johnson was one sick SOB.

Very interesting video. 60's Continentals have always been one of my favourite American cars, but the Presidential car looked so much better as a convertible.

The car was an Abraham Lincoln Continental produced by Ford Theater Motor Company

HOW COULD EVIDENCE BE COLLECTED WHEN THE SECRET SERVICE TRIED TO WASH IT WHILE AT PARKLAND HOSPITAL. SAD.

I think you meant to say “etched into the world’s mind”. I know that a lot of Americans are unaware of the world beyond their country’s own borders but Kennedy’s assassination sent shock waves of grief, disbelief and anger from Minnesota to Minsk.

Seen the car at the museum when I was a kid, it's only about 30 miles away. I really should visit again and see how the museum has changed after all these years.

The car was a crime scene and it was scrubbed clean at parkland

There is probably still a bullet somewhere in the quarter panel that doesn't match Oswald's rifle.

Thank you, Mr. Droste, I found this so fascinating! I had always assumed they would not reuse this car due to the tragic circumstances surrounding it. Oddly I am glad they changed it and kept it in service. T ✌🏻

What a most interesting video, thanks so much for this, as an American car buff this was amazing in detail and the car certainly carries a very sad history!
