A 30-year-old man named Kyler Efinger was found dead after crawling into an airplane’s engine at Salt Lake City airport in Utah, US.

After missing his flight to Denver, where he was headed to visit his sick grandfather, he broke through an emergency exit at the airport and was later found in the engine following a report of the breach.

So nobody going to talk about how he breached through those security doors, trying to smash/break the windows without triggering TSA/police responses and ran onto tarmac?

He literally killed himself because he missed his flight. What the f*** is going on with people these days?

Technically he made it onto the plane.

This was definitely one of those people who never missed their exit on the highway

Those engines are like black holes, you get too close and your fate is no longer in your hands.

He didn't 'crawl' into a plane engine, he got sucked in. And that's exactly why they won't show you the final moments, nor him 'climbing into' any plane engine. 💁🏿‍♂️

Meanwhile, all the TSA come to check out my bag: “sir is this a toothpaste!?”

Man, I feel for his father. He will have to bury his father AND his son now. Can’t imagine the heartbreak 💔

When i worked on the ramp they would show us videos of people getting killed in those engines enough to keep you on your toes around those black holes

As a former delta employee, my question is how did he get through those doors? They are locked and coded

Man, when final destination comes for you it really comes for you.

He didn't crawl into anything. He ran next to a taxiing aircraft and got sucked up into the engine. People just don't realize how much air these engines suck up to produce ten of thousands of pounds of thrusts.

Dude was trying to get to Denver to see his sick grandfather. He missed his flight. Due to the stress and his mental conditions, he snapped and had a full-blown manic episode. I hope his soul is at peace now.

How terribly tragic. He must have loved his grandfather immensely. My heart goes out to his family.

You all should be aware he was bipolar and he had a manic episode. He was trying to catch a plane from Utah to Denver to see his dying Grandfather.

As a line technician (ramper) I can confirm he did not jump in. He got pulled in. Maybe by choice but he wasn’t the one that made the input iykwim. Those engines have such powerful suction that when you are within like 15-20 feel you can still get pulled in.

As someone whose worked with planes. The suction is strong. VERY strong. He got sucked in, he didnt jump in

What most channels fail to mention is he has bipolar disorder and this is the first mental breakdown after his service animal passed. He missed the flight to see his dying grandfather and there was no other flights available. Sent him over the edge. No tsa responded throughout the whole survalence footage, and a emergency exit opened directly on to the tarmac. So much went wrong for this man and concerning that he was able to get on the tarmac so easily.

Oh, that's awful. How horribly sad, a double tragedy for this family to have to deal with now :(

I was a jet technician in the military, when it rains you can visually see how the air enters most jet engines. It swirls around on the ground like a mini tornado if you enter that area it’s a point of no return the vortex finds you.
