Might be a little late but is there any solutions to the connection errors?

I have connected my smart TV to the internet many times and I try going to netflix just to be told it's not connected to anything. I connected the TV to my phones hotspot to my surpise that it stayed connected to a hotspot but not the Wifi to the house itself.
Any suggestions?
