This didn't work with either my iPhone 7 or my Apple iPad. I did get it to work work on my MacBook Air. But this was only with calling Apple Support. They spent an hour with me; they turned me over to one of their more knowledgeable techs who had me change a bunch of stuff, . Now my MacBook Air works perfectly on the TV.
