Very informative video Tim. A* for the advice given. I'm local to you and a pest controller myself and can confirm that everything you mentioned here is correct. Bed Bugs are becoming more widespread and resistant to many insecticides. Probably one of my most fav pests to treat as i find them so fascinating. They can also live for up to 9 months without a feed (how crazy is that?). The only other advice i'd point out is check bedside furniture (draws and gaps) and picture frames (especially the back). Bugs love to seek harborage more near the headboard area (within 2 metres) and will climb virtually anything and in anything. All the best - Dave

3:02 IS a dead bedbug or insect of some type - you can see the segmented abdomen and head.

I never really worried about bedbugs before I started watching your videos. Now I’m all freaked out over it. Thanks 😂😂

Bugs dont bother me at all, never have. I "rescue" others from bugs at work. HOWEVER, as a youngster we stayed overnight at a motel & I got eaten alive by bedbugs, I was about 6. It still horrifies me to this day & I'm 47! Very informative Tim, know they make your skin crawl too, thankyou for sharing 👍.

Whatever about waking up the next morning to find you've been bitten, but to wake up and see them on you, that honestly has sent shivers up my spine, I am so sorry Tim :(

A good friend of mine had PTS because of bed bugs. Thanks for touching on the mental health effects of an infestation. They’re insidious and almost invisible creatures. Thanks for making this film.

Thanks Tim, appreciate the helpful tips. Will definitely be more careful now, when checking into Airbnbs and hotels!

Another thing I learned in Switzerland. Do not kill spiders or chuck them out of your house. They will never hurt you, but get rid of beasties far better than us.

Thank you so much Tim! We had bedbugs at a holiday park on the Isle of Wight this summer and went straight home again. It really has affected the whole family mentally and we certainly check now!

When I had to stay in hotels in the U.K. for work, I took a single fitted sheet with my pillow and single duvet and cover with me. I never sleep in the bed! I sleep on top in my covers from home and like you Tim, checking for BB first.

When I saw that story about France I thought of you immediately. They're your biggest nightmare as well as mine, anyone who's ever had them should be terrified right now. I also fully agree with an earlier comment on this video that someone has made - your editing and camera skills have come such a long way over time and are absolutely phenomenal.

Love your videos mate. Really informative. On the note of hygiene you should get yourself a UV torch. For general check up of the bed and the sheets. Obviously you can ignore the carpet to a degree because even after being cleaned with a carpet machine it still can have some spots. Same goes for the bathroom and the toilet. Limescale leaves a lot of stains on the surfaces and you can't really tell what's what. But the UV torch works miracles to check your bed - mattresses, covers, sheets, pillows etc.

Very insightful video Tim. I do an 8-point inspection of my box springs and mattress every week.

I had a bout of bedbugs in my apartment a few years ago, it was work to get rid of them, but, eventually, I was victorious!
