And so dies the man who made Ned, Rob and Jon into the fighters they were.

"Gods help you, Theon Greyjoy. Now you are truly lost." One of my favorite lines in the whole show. You can tell it hits Theon like a ton of bricks and he knows Rodrick is right. The look on his face for that second says it all and he knows he fucked up but is now beyond the point of return. Brilliant acting by both men.

Even after being raised in Winterfell, side by side with Robb and Jon. Learning what they learned by watching Eddard Stark. He failed at everything the Starks did, including decapitating with a single swing.

Ser Rodick was right, he was truly lost after this.

I feel like even in his final moment ser Rodrick pitied Theon. His last words and the look he gives Theon makes me believe that.

"Hush now child. I'm off to see your father." Damn the kind of loyalty the Northeners have. This is truly heartbreaking.

I like to think that theon struggling to cut his head off is symbolic to how he is struggling to cut the starks and the people he considered familly from his life.... he tries but he can’t fully do it.

One of the few times rain doesn't feel overdone, but just the right touch, that last nail in the coffin. And Bran having emotions. What a scene.

Scenes like this remind me that Bran is actually a good actor. Not his fault he had play a brick wall later.

This was just the ultimate failure of leadership by Theon here. Degmar questioning his orders and telling him what to do in front of his men was far more disrespectful than what Roderick did. The proper response from Theon should have been punching Degmar in the face and telling him he'd be the one to pay the iron price if he ever questioned his orders in front of his men again.

The actor who played Bran is very good, pity the writers butchered his personality from being emotional to indifferent.

Bran's screaming and begging in the background makes this scene so painful to watch.

Hush now child! I'm off to see your father.

That line pierces my heart every time.

A more impactful death than even Daenerys... a main character. Gods how they butchered this show

Alfie Allen is absolutely fantastic here but I really think Isaac Hempstead Wright makes the scene what it is. Really miss this side of Bran's character.

Whenever I felt bad about what Ramsay did to Theon, I came back to watch this scene. Killing the man you've known basically your entire life, that made you the fighter you were, who trusted you, for pretty much no reasons, was possibly the biggest treason in the entire show. Kinda glad that he paid so dearly.

technically his eldest brother was killed by Jason Mallister, a vassel to Riverrun, and his other brother was killed by a falling tower that the Baratheon war machines brought down.

Even in this scene, Theon couldn't make a choice about the family he wanted to be a part. He sentenced Rodrick to death to pay the iron price, the Greyjoy way. But he also killed him himself because the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword, the Stark way
