I miss when they gave Tyrion some complexity. Nowadays they just make him super perfect all the time. In the most recent episode Tyrion even said that Theon was mean to him in the past, when in fact this scene is the exact opposite.

I love how when they meet way later in the series, Tyrion treats Theon as if Theon was being a prick to him. But as far as I can see, Theon was being cool and Tyrion just bullied him from start to finish and "imp" was something anyone woulda said after getting chided by the blonde little smartass. They also recycled the line "careful imp" a lot. As if everyone has to let Tyrion know when he's pushing for trouble to just be a little more careful.

Tyrion in this scene is much more like how he is in the books. They sort of made him more 'heroic' in later seasons, if that makes any sense.

That's such a petty scene for Tyrion and it was the first time I realized that in Game of Thrones, even the good guy can be real pricks.
