Can we talk about how terrifying it would be to be facing a guy 1 on 1 who you were just facing 4 on 1. Like Jesus Ned was probably like yeah I'm 100% going to die now

This dude was only in the show for 4 minutes and was immediately one of the most badass characters in the show. GOT was so good 😭

Bran: He stabbed him in the back.
Bronn: That's the best place to stab a guy.

His delivery of “I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.” Absolutely perfect.

The fact that Rhaegar told the best swordsmen in the world to protect lyanna instead of fight with him shows he really loved her

The look on Ned's face when Ser Arthur's stabbed in the back says it all. He truly feels for his hero. A knight who bested him honourably is then dishonourably killed. Ned must have wished things had turned out differently over the years.

“He stabbed him in the back.” Well they tried stabbing him in the front first, and that didn’t go so well, did it?

Even though he only had like a couple of lines, the actor playing Ser Arthur Dayne is superb.

If Ned had lost, Jon might have been raised by Arthur Dayne...

I love that guy not just because he’s a great swordsman but he also was a true knight. He was polite and civil, but also extremely brave. Taking on all of them on his own and also didn’t beg for his life

Ned's companions:
-Willam Dustin
-Ethan Glover, Brandon Stark's squire.
-Mark Ryswell, soft of speech and gentle of heart
-Theo Wull, a faithful man of the mountain clans
-Martyn Cassel, Jory's Father
-Howland Reed.

“Sword of the Morning”

Every man gets that in the morning, nothing to be ashamed of.

Even when he was outnumbered, he still had complete control over that whole fight. He was one hell of a swordsman.
