The only time Hound was called by his name with affection and emotions

He shouldn’t have called himself a king. That gave him a huge debuff when fighting against the kingslayer.

Euron: i'm the man who killed Jaime Lannister

Brick: unfortunately for you, history will not see it that way

The hounds line "look at me, LOOK AT ME!" is such a great callback to season 1.

That breath that Sandor takes after Arya saying “thank you”… in my opinion, is him being released of all the bad, and someone finally acknowledging the help, the lessons, the risking of his life for them.. everything he does even though it may be bad, is released and gives him that final push he needs to say “I’m going to die here today, but it’s okay because it was all worth it”. Man that shit slaps. Even the tiniest little detail such as a breath can invoke such emotion out of a viewer such as myself. This show may have dragged ass a little bit but man I tell you, it was great.

I love how the hardness disappears from her face at around 2:00. She hasn’t looked that innocent since Season 1.

Arya and Sandor's scene was the best scene in this episode

I love how this show can make you hate the character you loved and love the character you hated.

I like how Arya said thank you, and even called him Sandor, he was a dirty, grungy brute full of hate, but he saved her many times and practically took over the role of her father. They both had a mutual respect regardless of how bitter they could be to one another. The Hound is one of my favorite characters from the show, very good character arc, you start off hating him and then rooting for him as he becomes a better person throughout his trials. Jamie was similar, from the ending of the pilot you hated everything about him until you start to see his humanity come out when he’s with Brienne, especially once he goes back and saves her from the bear. Once you see how he’s the only one in his family with love for Tyrion, you really start to like him more and more.

Sandor Clegane’s ending is truly one of THE best. Legendary end to his character and story. What an amazing character. The writers did not mess this one up.

Probably as much a father as Ned was by the end

This final interaction between them is perfect writing and acting. Easily the shining light of a dark let down of an ending to a series. Their characters' father figure/daughter figure relationship arc is excellent.

"Sandor! Thank you."
As far as I am concerned this is the best line of the entire series.

The Arya and hound arc was so good. She went from calling him the hound to clegane. Finally to Sandor. He was finally allowed his humanity back.

The Hound is the only character to come out of season 8 with a satisfying character arc.

As far as I can remember, she is the only one to ever call him "Sandor" and only in this moment. Everyone addressed him as "The Hound", "Clegane" and maybe the full "Sandor Clegane", but never just "Sandor". That's a true level of respect.

Possibly the only time he was addressed by his given name, Sandor. Ultimately, he gave her the best gift possible: a future.

Don't think Maisie or Rory received the credit they deserve for this scene. Maisie walks behind him a killer. When he's done talking, she's a young girl. Her change in facial expressions are perfect. And you can see the relief on Rory's face when he realizes he got through to her. One of the absolute best scenes of the entire series.

The feelings the hound has for arya is amazing. You can tell she respects and loves him for what hes done for her over the years. It wasnt always that way, but this scene really nails it
