Norse deities rolled a little differently. They showed pettiness, jealousy, anger, and more, which is best retold in a roast-like scene from Norse mythology. Ditch your sunscreen; Loki's about to throw serious shade.

This video is episode four from the series Norse Mythology, presented by Jackson Crawford.

I clicked on this video without a CLUE Dr. Crawford would be on it. Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised.

I really like how Dr. Crawford is starting to call Jotnar, " antigods" more often

I've always found the Lokasenna to have two meaning, first that it's Loki's truth-telling, but also that it's the final truth-telling as in "loka/hinsta/seinasta"

Thor's hall is named Bilskirnir which means "lightning crack"

Stories and myths shape cultures, languages and even thoughts of their people. I've always been fascinated with Norse mythology as their gods are both powerful and flawed, much like "mortal" men and women ;)

It's definitely the most funny story of all the poetic edda!

The sister of Njord is strongly suspected to be Nerthus, as the romans called her, or Njärd by Norse naming. Apparently, the name refers to earth. Atleast, this is what I was told by a university lecturer when asking.
This brother and sister sleeping with each other seems to be a recurring thing with the Vanir gods specifically. Njord with Njärd and Frej with Freja.

Actually, Heimdallr was the Gods watchmen from Bifrost where he _sat_ all day guarding the Gods. Loki accused him of having a wet _bottom_ from sitting all day.

It’s hard enough work being an atheist.

Thank God we don’t also have to be labelled as Athorists and Aodinists too.

It a cool Legend with Thor and Loki, but i prefer to read about Lusitanian Legendary Gods, like Ataegina or Bandua...
