Seriously I know that the next God Of War probs isn’t Norse, but having Vidar as the main villain for the next game would be so perfect.

If I'm not mistaken, Vidarr is officially known in Old Norse mythological sources as the second mightiest of all of the Gods (Second only to Thor, naturally). So yeah, the guy's a force to be reckoned with.

Another thing, and tell me if this is crazy, but what if Kratos is the God of War equivalent of Vidarr? Obviously, the whole "God of Vengeance" thing is a bit farfetched given the fact that Kratos is supposed to have changed, but we can't ignore how he turned Heimdall's face to jam and then squeezed his oesophagus like a toothpaste. I get a sneaking suspicion that Kratos hasn't completely rid himself of his violence.
Also, we see Kratos being revered and worshipped in future prophecies at the end of the game after Ragnarok. Could be linked to how Vidarr himself, as one of the strongest of the surviving Gods, became ruler after Ragnarok.
