This is my car! It was cool opportunity getting to spend time with Scotty. He’s the same guy off camera (with a little more swearing lol) Honest, humble, LOUD, and just overall a great guy.

We had Honda ATV's, Honda Motorcycles/Trail bikes, Honda generators, Honda cars. They all ran good for years and years with little to no trouble.

Hey scotty, Honda sales here. Been in the industry for about a year now. Your advice and information has been invaluable. Your a gem of a mechanic, and content provider.

My wife has a 2013 Civic hybrid with 200, 000 miles. It's only ever needed oil changes, brakes and the ac compressor died around 170, 000 miles. It always delivers more than 40mpg. Fantastic car.

I picked up a 09 with 80k miles and a blown head gasket for $2.3k. I changed the head gasket and it runs like a dream. The interior is mint, and the car is worth substantially more than i have into it. Its an awesome car and i love it!

I have a 2017 Honda Accord hybrid and am amazed by the system (212hp/232tq). I get 50's around town and mid/low 40's on the hwy, and can even do short trips in all EV mode. The build quality is amazing (built in Japan), and comfort is top notch in my opinion.

I've had my 07 Civic hybrid for just over 11 years, it had around 35k miles on it when u purchased it, I've done all the oil changes, front brake pads twice (85k original, and again at 198k, along with new rotors). I did have o2 sensors replaced at around 191k, along with my original plugs by a shop back in January as I had a CEL showing, and in NYS it won't pass inspection. But that's about it. Love this car, and although it started rusting a couple years ago, I can't see any reason to get rid of it.

I got a 2013 Civic Hybrid, currently at 107, 000 miles. Bought it 3 years ago. Never had any problems. Just been maintaining oil changes, I recently replaced the transmission fluid cause I'm always afraid of CVTs going bad but I've never heard of the civics CVTs going bad. Going up hill kinda sucks but I love the engine braking going down hill. Drove from TN to NM, TN to PA, and a couple times to FL. A very reliable car so far!

I did buy my 07 Civic Hybrid new. I still have it and it runs well. Way back in 2007 there were numerous incentives to get a hybrid in Canada. No provincial sales tax, Federal Sales tax rebate, Scrap-it program where you could get $1000-$2000 dollar rebate on a hybrid by trading in an older car that had been insured for the last 6 months or failed its emissions test.

The original software was better than the updates which stole 15-20% of the fuel economy to extend battery life of the hybrid pack. You can get rebuilt packs for under $1000 and $2000 for new battery cell ones. The other nice thing is the Civic Hybrid holds the road like any Honda Civic, Its not a rickety underweight gocart like the early Prius and Insights.
