I bought an ILX based on a review, which Scotty did a few years back. Thanks Scotty, this had been the best car that i owned. Your insight is truly genius

I purchased a 2021 ILX ASPEC based on the reviews including this one. I feel so confident in the reliability in this vehicle. The car is a helluva looker too with a nice widow tint.

Totally agreed about the smaller displacement turbo engines, there’s just no way we’re going to see the same reliability as a simple naturally aspirated setup. I’m sure they’ll continue to improve as time passes but I’d still take one of Honda’s 2.0 or 2.4L engines over their 1.5 turbo any day of the week.

I had an Accord with the 2.4 in it, drove it till 400, 000kms then gave it to a friend, she’s still driving it and it’s still going strong 💪🏻

Just bought a '22 A-Spec with 19k miles. Has another 4 years bumper to bumper warranty up to 100k miles. I don't care if the interior is "outdated." No turbo (K24), no crappy CVT (8 speed DCT) and it's faster and I think also looks better than the new Integra. Also consistently getting high 30's mpg. A lot of car and warranty for $25k. I love it so far.

Love my Acura. Smooth, quiet and fast. Would buy it all over again in a heartbeat.

Recently traded in my 2018 Tacoma for a 2020 IlX ASPEC with Premium package. Got a couple grand back in my pocket, am getting nearly twice the mpg, the car has 50, 000 less miles, and it's so fun to drive. Loving the ILX.

Scotty I don’t always agree with you but thank you for making a great and flattering review of this car. I’ve had one now for years and it’s been a great car which I’ll probably continue to have for years to come.

2016 and up ILX is basically an automatic 9th gen Civic Si. The DCT transmission in sports mode is a lot of fun, shifts precisely and feels like a manual when you paddle shift. It does rev match so there is no bumping off the redline sadly. As a commuter vehicle it is perfect for the city and just fast enough to keep you entertained while driving to work. All that on top of the extreme reliability you get from Honda/Acura vehicles.

Crazy I’m just seeing this, I bought a 2020 ilx around march 2023 and these cars are priced to be taken out of the lots, for some reason everyone is sleeping on these but paying 15k plus msrp on a civic. When I was looking for a car my plan was to buy a civic, and ended up realizing these ilx’s are cheaper than civis on the used market if you look for something of similar year and mileage, so thats what I ended up taking.

The DCT should have been carried over to Integra instead of the CVT.

I love my ILX so much. It’s a perfect car. Balanced, beautiful engine, amazing transmission, no button shifter, no stupid start stop system, and it’s just gorgeous to look at. Hate how they replaced it with a hatchback with a CVT. definitely buying mine when the lease is up.

Recently picked up a 2012 TSX after like more than 2 decades since my previous Honda. They are still great and fun to drive and work with.

Bought a 14’ ILX w 121k as my first car after watching your last video on that black 16’ ILX. Just changed transmission oil. It runs like new still! Great commuter

the new tegs are a disappointment. I'll keep my ilx. K24, 8 speed dct. I appreciate the tegs got the manual, but i'm too old for that now. ilx are still comfy, well equipt, great on gas, reliable, fun to drive, and reliable. 5 years later, i'm still loving it.

I got an 2018 RLX and I love it. Don’t ever plan on getting rid of it unless Acura brings it back

Just got one of these for 22, 000 with 12, 000 miles after my 08 TSX rack dumped its fluids and the engine gave out in the same day. She had 122, 000 miles and a previous owner put 84, 000 of that on before me.

I LOVE THIS CAR. The tech in what is an entry level luxury sedan is pretty impressive actually. Take care of an Acura, and it will take care of you for years.
