One thing that Disney always gets right is including music that tugs at our hearts in their animated features. The songs in this list are spot on.

I think "God Help The Outcasts", is such a powerful song, and it's relevant for what's happening in our society now.

Once Upon A Dream is not entirely Disney’s magic, Tchaikovsky helped (a lot) - the song’s melody is (heavily) based on a piece from his Sleeping Beauty ballet.

It is a shame that "Try Everything" was not nominated for a Oscar...it is so inspiring.

(6:22) You know what's sad? "Los Rescatadores" was the last work Edmundo Santos (Spanish translator of Walt Disney movies since Pinocchio, and director since Fantasia) worked on. In this dubbing, his granddaughter Tony Assael, plays the voice of Penny, at that time Tony was just a little girl. Edmundo died 3 weeks before the premiere of the movie; he translated "Someone's Waiting for You" as a tribute to her. The song was renamed as "Pronto la Dicha Llegará" (Soon Bliss Will Come). This is a small part of it:

♪ _Do not cry, my good. By crying your suffering will grow. Have confidence, have faith, my child. You will be very happy. [...] The love you long for will come. [...] Soon bliss will come. Your weeping will not return. [...] A love will not be long in coming. Be confident and don't cry anymore, your dreams will come true_ ♪

Tony after the premiere, they would ask her: "how do you feel about being in the movie?" She would start crying and say, "I want my grandpa!"

Man, this whole list is making me cry. But as a new mom, "Baby Mine" and "Someone's Waiting for You" and "You'll be in my Heart" are hitting especially hard.

The song “Beauty and the Beast” from the 1991’s Disney animated movie ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
That’s also part of my childhood.

Of course these Disney songs are hauntingly beautiful. Because if there's one of many things that Disney almost never failed to do with their animated movies, It's add a song that is sounds so beautiful and inspiring that it haunts our memories and ears!

Especially "The next right thing", I find it captivating because of the sadness of the lyrics at the beginning and the resilience with which Anna gets up despite the dark situation, inspires me a lot; "When she loved me" it still gives me the same feeling as when I saw it as a child and as older; "A dream is a wish you heart makes" I still love it for the hope and excitement it awakens in me; "Dos oruguitas" still gets me the melody and scenes; also "Remember me"
because of how moving the lyrics are when they touch my heart and that "until you are in my arms, remember me" .

"Goodbye may seem forever" from The Fox and the Hound, and the entire scene surrounding it makes me cry every single time. I haven't watched the movie since I was a little kid, but whenever I see that scene from clips/other videos on YouTube, I immediately start crying.

Glenn Close's performance of "You'll Be In My Heart" makes it clear that she is also a mother, just like the character she gives voice to in "Tarzan" is!

When my little dog of 16 years became paralyzed and was on her last days, I'd sing to her You'll be in My Heart. She'd stare at me so calmly, as if she understood the words. I think on some level she did. To this day I can't listen to the song without getting teary eyed and thinking of her. It's amazing how Disney songs have such a strong impact in our lives

I would add “If I Never Knew You” from “Pocahontas” as well. Beautiful and heartfelt, it perfectly encapsulates Pocahontas and John Smith’s declaration of love that even if their romance wasn’t meant to be, the time that they spent together was worth it in the end. Deleted from the film after test screenings, and restored for its 10th Anniversary DVD its an underrated love ballad that deserves its day in the sun. 😊
