Disney took one of the biggest risks making a movie about religion, and with religious figures, which was The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. Esmeralda deserved the #1 pick on this list. But also The Nightmare Before Christmas is an absolute masterpiece of a film putting the fright of Halloween, and the joy of Christmas together.⛪🕯💀🎃🎄

"Once Upon A December" from Anastasia always gets me.

My favorite is “God help the outcasts.” in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I always found it so moving how Esmerelda was praying for others even though she had it really rough.. while others in the church prayed for love, wealth, fame, etc… she prayed for the Lord to bless others “less lucky then herself.” Simply a beautiful song, meaning, and character.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame was my favorite Disney movie as a kid. It's underrated.
Also Once Upon a Dream from Maleficent was a hauntingly beautiful song...

One of the things I love about Sally in "Nightmare" is that even though she loves Jack more than anyone, she's the only one who understands that what he wants to do is wrong and the only one who takes steps to stop him. True, Jack has to rescue her at the climax, but that's only because she was brave enough to take action in the first place and attempt to rescue Sandy Claws. "She's the only one who makes sense in this insane asylum, " indeed.

Remember Me never fails to make me cry. Reminds me of my own grandmother who spent her last few years suffering through Alzheimer's disease.

"I See the Light" from "Tangled (2011 film)", "Reflection" from "Mulan (1998 film)", and "The Next Right Thing" from "Frozen II" are definitely my favorite haunting beautiful Disney songs.

I remember the first time I heard Jessie sing "When She Loved Me" in the theater. My daughters couldn't understand why I cried so hard. It still tears me up 20 years later

Don’t forget about “Once upon a December” from Anastasia, its not a disney movie, but it is heart wrenching.

I can never talk about "It's Quiet Uptown" without crying. It shows me that sometimes I have to get through the grief, but not alone. I've lost my godparents and I'm still a mess, but that song has actually HELPED me. It's probably the most important song in "Hamilton" because it actually has such a powerful message. Lin Manuel Miranda's lyrics never fail to hit me so hard. I'm still very emotional about it.

I love “Reflection” and God Help the Outcasts”! I sang both of those songs in a recital my senior year of high school. I love “The Next Right Thing” and “I See the Light”, too.

You’ll Be in my Heart still makes me cry. Kala is such an underrated mother; she raised Tarzan and loves him.

God Help the Outcasts from Hunchback of Notre Dame was already touching when I was a child, but as an adult--especially in thinking about Esmeralda's story and discovering/exploring my own mixed black and Romani heritage and thinking about both ethnic groups' history--is particularly touching, poignant, profound and heartwrenching now.

Reflection played repeatedly in my mind while I was struggling with my mental health and I would be sobbing and crying my eyes out cause I initially didn't recognize myself anymore. Thank God He brought me through that period and now I see Reflection as my recovery song.

As someone who has actually watched The Hunchback Of Notre Dame and also grew up to it, I can say her song is especially beautiful.
