Thanks for making this video. My truck needed a gas cap. The diagnostic test was $98! Then I had to pay the cost of the gas cap. If I would’ve seen this video I would have bought a new gas cap, reset the system and waited to see what would happen. My other car had the same issue so I bought a gas cap and reset the system and I have not had any problems since and the gas cap was cheaper! Thanks again

Also on any Dodge if u trip the anti theft disconnect both battery terminals and touch them 2gether then reconnect. Dealer charges about 80 bucks for that...plus a tow

Used a code checker. It said my ambielnt temperature sensor was the cause. My car does not have an ambient temp. sensor.

as a car technician i would'nt advise anyone to do this on newer cars specially on higher end cars like benz or bmw cause you will have a shit ton of things that wont be working unless you do a whole bunch of relearns like sunroof, power windows etc and some relearns needs oe scan tools or a really good one like a snap-on or autel. You might get lucky and get away with it but i wouldnt do it.

I don't know if you should trust a 'mechanic' that uses vise grips instead of a wrench or socket to remove battery cable. He didn't even mention to stop at an auto parts store for a free code check.

This guy right here don’t know what he’s talking about. It only does a hard reset on the check engine, in order to clear it you had to do like I said in the other message

Its a reason for check engine light coming on bc it needs servicing...why disconnect its only gonna come back
