In this video I will be showing you an extremely easy way to reset / remove your Check Engine Light from your vehicle. I use a 1999-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the video and have used this method in multiple vehicles. Your original issue needs to be resolved, but this will at least remove the pesky check engine light. Enjoy!

In my opinion it's always best to remove the negative terminal first and put it on last when removing the battery. The thing is if you're on the positive terminal while the negative terminal is connected, especially if your wrench is low inside the car, there's a danger of touching the chassis and causing an instant short, which can be a very bad day.

Never pull on your cable like that, loosen the nuts, and remove it from the post.

Reset but will it give you ready? Or incomplete? And thus you have to drive 50 mil to reset?

That's not going to let u pass inspection without driving the car through the cycle. U can reset it all day. However when u pull in for inspection without the drive cycle they will fail your car.

I guess if your not car mechanically incline this video is ok..It's basic moron 101 mechanics..But every guy who knows the basic repairs knows this...I thought it was something no one on the planet knew really about..But no, , unconnected battery term...positive. But actually on alot of makes its longer than 20 secs, , it's 5 min.And you can do negative term also..Dont need to be positive..Again alot of mechanics or manuals recommend neg, , , cause some models cars recommend neg.
