How the Chinese political system works

There are very few communist governments in the world and there is much controversy as well as interest in how they operate. This video aims to provide an overview of the Chinese Communist Government and how it functions in terms of its political structure and relation to the economy.

i would say decentralization is not the most accurate term. its not so much that the state deflated, but that its organization became ever more specialized so that regional and local officials became relevant actors with specific roles. after all, the party has almost 96 million members. and that grassroots participation was a result of the cultural revolution movement.
