I just got my Bissell steamer and I love it!!! I had just begun scrubbing the tracks of 3 sliding glass doors and window sills, especially since we'll be closing everything up soon. Found best product to reduce dusting. I use Shaklee basic H to dust my furniture. Basic H is a all purpose cleaner and I do use it for many other things. Best window cleaner I’ve ever used. Back to dusting though. I mix 1/8 tsp of basic H with 2 cups of water & put in spray bottle and use as my dusting spray. It actually repels dust unlike the oil based sprays and I can go 2 months or more without having to dust the majority of my furniture. It works best on wood furniture. Not as good on plastic things such as tv stands. Works excellent on door frames and baseboards. Lasts longer if you frequently change those dust filters. Amazon sells Shaklee basic H. Do a google research on the many things it does.

My husband’s cousin runs a construction company that deals with carpeting for businesses. Visiting another family member, we were asked to remove our shoes since she just got new carpeting. The cousin told her it was better to wear shoes because the oil and sweat from the feet will ruin carpet faster due to the buildup.

I see that your house has an air filter/purifier installed. Does it completely take out all the dirt from all of your rooms? If it works well, then I will think about installing it my own house. What do you recommend? Currently, in my house, we go by the traditional way of cleaning rooms like dusting by broom and mopping the floor with a wet cloth.

OXO microfiber extendable is the best duster for all these. Buy some extra pads and it’s a lot greener.
