Stops All engine oil leaks, Proof with 2 test and review of Bars rear main seal repair. Bars leaks claims to stop all oil leaks with this product.
The first test with before and after results showing Bars stop leak added to a car engine that has a oil leak on the timing cover. Also we show the amount of Motor oil that has leaked before using Bars and after.
Next we use crankshaft seal 1 for each test using bars oil stop leak and not using Bars. The seals are heated up to see if they harden which can cause oil loss. I will use Mobil1 in 1 seal and the other Mobil1 and Bars.
These test and information given is for entertainment purposes and before performing anything you see in the video or hear in the video you should speak to a professional but also speak with the manufacturer of the vehicle or products used.

I had a rear main seal leak once, pardon my description, but it was pissing oil…used this product and it went from a serious leak to barely a sweat of oil. For me it gets a 👍

My mechanic told me my real main seal in my vortec 5.3 liter Tahoe (300k + miles) is leaking. When I got under it to change the oil a leak was evident. I replaced one of the 6 quarts of oil with 2 containers of Bars rear main seal stop leak. We'll see what happens. It's been about two weeks now and the leak has stopped, well see how long it last.

A good test would be to see if the seal that hardened in the cofee pot can be restored to soft if bathed in the stop leak fluid.

Yeah Nathan.. I remember maybe 50-60 years ago I've used Barrs Leak in my Radiator..(it worked as well as lubed the water pump) Not exactly the same but you would think they would have improved their name somewhat in the last half century. Thanks Nathan.. Cheers 🥂

I have never had much success with any type of stop leak. Power steering leaks for me have become worse. Cooling systems have become clogged. With modern engines with variable valve timing, they usually require a 0W something oil. Personally, I would not add anything thicker than the recommended weight oil. You could easily rob Peter to pay Paul. It would be much cheaper to slide a drip pan under the car and add oil when necessary than to replace the cam phasers/actuators or whatever the manufacturer calls them. On top of that, if the product doesn’t completely stop the leak, you still have a spot on your driveway so what’s the point? Do you actually know anyone who has collected any money for damages from a company that makes this type of product? I may be somewhat of a cynic, but I am leery of the long term effects. Sometimes the cure can be worse than the disease. I appreciate you, Nate! I’m just not a fan of additives, particularly stop leak products.

I used this and about 3 week later my oil light comes on, I went to auto zone, got some more of the product and oil. I poured about a quart in pulled the dip stick and it was gummed up with the stuff on it, I thought it baked the oil on the dip stick, I cleaned it off and it felt like rubber. I just hope it doesn’t destroy my engine, going to pop the valve cover off and see if it’s still pumping.

It does work. I’m using this to buy time until it’s not 100° outside and I can get this fixed myself. I don’t want to be repairing an oil pan leak when is 98° outside

Since it changes viscosity can you use it on VVT engines? Those are supposed to be sensitive to proper viscosity

Sounded like I was in virtual reality. Good test

Just put this in my 350 in my corvette after the rear main started dumping oil pretty good. Ran it yesterday through the day and didn’t leave more than a dime sized drop after the whole day

First of all with it being thicker changes the oil viscosity. I can see where that can slow the leak down. I like to see what the viscosity of that bars stop leak is.

I tried this one and it didn't help so I used bars valve seal professional strength and notice better results

Long story 2012 Chevy sonic w 138, 500 miles started leaking just under from where I put my oil filter. It would slowly drip down to my exhaust and stink and smoke up badly. After trying Bars stop oil and seal leak with my oil change, I can say I noticed a 50 % less burn after a week or so. After about a month I forgot I had even had a leak. I have since changed my oil again and added another bottle. NO MORE OIL BURNING ISSUES FOR ME

I had a big leak on the crankshaft seal on my Astra j 1.4 ltr ecotec. I filled the engine with a product called Orion 288 stop leak and drove about 750 km and the leak was 100% cured.

Hello, my Pt cruiser doesn’t leave oil on the floor but it goes in combustion and makes blue smoke. Elastic bands problem. Do you think the product could help? Thank you.
