thnx for the info. i have a 2008 saab/trailblazer with an a/c leak and gonna try this stuff. the car has under 105k miles on it and still runs great but need the cool in summer. i live up north in new england and it's a cold winter, do you think i could put this stuff in during the winter so i can find out if it will work for me before summer gets here, otherwise the wife wants to get another car.

I've have a question:
After putting in a can of leak stopper, should you top up the refrigerant straight away, or wait (hours, days, weeks) before adding the refrigerant?

What is a good cheap recharge hose system with gauge you would suggest for DIYers?

The science is pretty complicated, but a simple concept is that cold is simply the absence of heat. We sweat to have the water evaporate off of our skin to cool us down, anytime a liquid evaporates it carry's heat energy away cooling it. A gas can condense into a liquid and stay a liquid at a higher temperature if it's compressed, so you take a refrigerant compress it allowing it to become liquid at room temperature and then reduce it's pressure in the evaporator coil where it allows it to carry the heat away from the inside of the truck. The same reason the can gets cold when you are charging the system, the pressure inside the can is lowering and it's carrying the heat from the can away through the evaporation of the refrigerant. This then means that you can measure the pressure and it will tell you the temperature. Because ambient temperatures vary the pressure inside the system can change pretty dramatically, changing how much pressure is needed to cool the refrigerant. Hope this made sense, it's kind of taking a really complicated subject and condensing it down into a single paragraph.

Hey that's funny it took a month. I youtubed "how long does it take for AC stop leak to work. I didn't your video for a while. That's amazing. I did use the stop leak from Walmart, it was available. I put it in Friday. Did run your AC all the time, even though it's blowing hot. Or did you leave it off. That is my concern. Will it still seal not running, or did you run the AC the whole time, hoping it would come back on?? Thank You! for your video. You gave me hope. Everybody in my crooked shop city, wants to replace my compressor. Although several youtube videos say that: if you turn your compressor manual, it's not locked and it's not the compressor. Hoping for the same results, quicker. I don't even know if I have a leak. I just figured it couldn't hurt lubricating the essential parts. Thanks Again.

Stop leak taking a undeserved bashing, it’s good for what it intended . Would I use on a newish vehicle still under warranty? Of course not . On an older vehicle that you are looking to keep away from a high repair bill, give it a shot, it does work on some leaks .

Did it come with that hose or do I have to buy it separately

the pressure was 40 before you put it on, you probably didn't have ac leak

After you put it on the ac system do you need to let run for any certain time ?
