I had an ex in high school where the dad was super protective of his daughter and was so strict on her dating, she needed to be treated like a princess. Then there was me only 2 years older. They allowed their son to treat me horribly right in front of them. Complete emotional abuse. Aware of his cheating, encouraged it even. The boys in my class thought the thing with school dress code was stupid. A friend of mine got dress coded for wearing a tang top, because it was showing her shoulders, one of the boys really pulled up his sleeve and said "oh no you can see my shoulder are you gonna dress code me?" I started laughing.
