I’ve been posting (they used to be terrible lol) vlogs for 4 years! Consistency is really what got me going and 2 or 3 searchable videos to get traction! I’m finally starting to see growth now!

I think being successful on YouTube 12 years ago was easier to get viewers. Now there's more competition. Quality is more important quantity. An editor can edit the raw footage differently and tell a totally different story.

I started my YT channel a few ago after watching your jaw surgery videos - I also had double jaw surgery and documented the whole process for the last 2+ years...now transitioning to making videos about my health journey with chronic fatigue (which is what led me to jaw surgery) and hoping that my (very small) group of subscribers will continue to follow along - even if they were originally there for jaw surgery content - because they've gotten to know me and are interested enough to keep watching. I found your jaw surgery videos super helpful and subscribed to both your channels after finding those - really appreciate all of your content and love your vlogs as well!

I recently sold my condo for $400k and i want to invest the money in the stock market. However, it appears the market is at an all-time high. Should I invest elsewhere or wait for a market correction?

Taking notes now!!
I've probably been taking YouTube seriously for the past 8 years and only at 5k+ subs at the moment

I have been consistently uploading one video a week for the past 2 and 1/2 years

I know I should probably just stick to a niche but I don't really want to 😂 open too it now

I have been monetized since 2012 and have only made $5, 016.43...

Most of us will not make enough money to be a full time youtuber, but all of us have what it takes to have a little bit of a following and have some fun. That is what I do, it has worked out OK.

I've watched a lot of videos about how to start your own YouTube channel and even though I feel like I know what to do, it's way easier said than done in my experience when it comes to actually execute the many steps that are involved in producing a great video people are enjoying to watch.
Every time I watch a "How to start a YouTube channel" video I still get a new perspective and fresh ideas so thank you a lot for your tips and advice. I'll try them for my channel :)

I think adding background music in a video helps because it adds more stimulation during those quiet moments when you don’t have B Roll footage! Also, just adding yourself on a thumbnail or even in the video helps! I am surprised how there is more faceless content now especially with the advent of AI!

Most of my followers have come from shorts. I have been working on my channel for 9 months, and I am almost monetized. 🎉

This is my goal! I don’t know if I want to vlog but I’m not afraid to put myself on film😊
And I’m confident in filming/editing.
It’s just being consistent for myself.

I'm 5 months away from making the jump to full time, I am both excited and terrified, but I am SO excited to put into practice the things I want to do but don't have time to!

This is such a great video. You came across like you should be teaching a YouTube course at a college. The Amalfi video was also wonderful. Yay Shelby!!
