I used to think that pride was confidence, so I would tell myself I couldn’t feel accomplished after I did something. But now I know that I can feel accomplished as long as I don’t look down on others

I’ve been asking God lately to purge me of anything that would hurt others and he showed me I had pride.

He showed me what my pride looked like, specifically. It’s different for everyone and shows up in different ways. I’ve heard that pride likes to hide, but when I tell you I had no idea…

The way he showed me was so graceful… it was in the privacy of my home and not in a situation where someone else could see or be affected by me.

When he showed me, it shook me to my core… I couldn’t believe it was always right in my face and I didn’t even notice. I thought it was ok, until it made me judge someone in a video that… really didn’t deserve it…

There’s a little condescending, arrogant sounding voice that likes to show up all the time in little moments. It talks fast and goes away quickly, but I couldn’t miss it that time… I didn’t even wanna think anymore after that.

I highly encourage everyone reading this to ask God to help you overcome pride. Give your pride to him. Don’t ask him to take it. Tell him you’re giving it to him.

There’s a difference between the two. He’s a gentlemen. He’s not just gunna take something we’re still holding onto. His hand is open. We have to be the ones to hand it over.

I have a very low self esteem but I still find my self sounded a bit prideful at time my goal is to my humble and peacefull with people I want to be known as that humble guy and not someone with pride. I wish and pray that everyone here find this video helpfull

This is so difficult. Especially for someone who struggles with social anxiety. I accidently say things that put my friends down because I view myself as better at times. My anxiety causes me to just speak my mind without realizing how inconsiderate my statement is until it's already been spoken

I am so performance driven that it can easily become a bondage. Perfectionism is an offshoot of pride and it is exhausting and can leave you as an emotional wreck since your view of yourself fluctuates based on how well you performed. God has been helping me focus that He wants me and not my performance and that has helped me to stop putting pressure on myself and just enjoy my relationship with him. It always amazes me that God incarnate came and LIVED amongst us for 33 heckin years. Amongst our ridiculousness and sin. Amongst people that were so sure they were good and smart. Amongst injustice every day. That is crazier to me than that He was scorned and mocked over like 12 hours. I feel like living with us for 33 years before all that is more than He should have ever had to deal with. But He did, because He loved us.
