Looks like most of the gaming channels are saying, "meh~ just little bit lower power consumption."
But the productivity / server channels are saying, "wow, faster with lower power consumption!"
AVX-512 (A.I., etc.) people are saying, "holy 🐄!!!"

finally working ECC support straight from the launch date

Awesome. Still waiting for the X3d though. Or at least until the "a bios update a day" times are over ;)

Never thought about it from that perspective but it makes a lot of sense for a Homelab indeed. Especially with ECC and 10G. Might just be a better NAS too than the usual Synology.

Hurrah, not Intel ! You mean I have to drive down to the Microcenter in Yonkers, New York, to get one of these 😢

Been using Asrock X670E Steel Series with 7900X for my home Kubernetes/Docker testing. Love to hear this shoutout for the motherboard. Lots of NVMe support, two GPU no problem and also 2 x LAN and 1 x WIFI. So far so good...

They're 4nm, the IO die is 6nm I think. It says 4 and 3 because they'll make Turin dense (the 192 core) in 3nm.

It appears to be an iterative release. Thank you AMD for continuing to iterate further iterations.

At 2:46 you got some info wrong. IO Die is still 6nm, cores are 4nm. There is no 3nm yet, that will be for future products.

G'day Wendell,
Your intro here just hit me why Johnny 5 was in your Windows 9700X Review 🤖😂😂😂😂😂

VERY interesting 6:16 I stand by my previous comment that Wendell is a distant relative of Sherlock Holmes… 🕵🏼‍♂️

at 3:14 is that really the case? I understood it as: it is predicting 2 branches deep, not 2 branches wide.

You said it's 3 and 4nm, with 3nm for compute and 4nm for IO die. Isn't it 3nm for the zen5c and 4nm for zen5 cores, whereas the IO die is still on 6nm? It would be nice if the IO die wasn't such an idle power hog.

I think is fninaly time to upgrade my i5 2500k.
You served me well, old friend...

Thank you! I asked at level1tech channel and wanted to ask here - what about idle power draw? Zen4 heve 20-30w, mostly by IOD. Is there Zen5 improvements or maybe something is planning? I'm using Zen4 like a NAS with PVE host

I'm still on Zen 2000 w/ my daily joint being an Intel 7700.

Please 🤞🤞AMD release a non workstation OEM hard to get skew if Threadripper this time.

I only need 48 cores and preferably 3D v cache.
