This doesn't work unless you go to general/ home settings/ turn off auto launch home. Took me forever to figure this out. You think LG would say that in their own video

Doesn’t work. Set Live TV as default, watched a Blu Ray and turned off TV. Turned it on later and it launched with the Blu Ray input selected. Just remembers last selected input. Really annoying.

how do you select nothing as a default? i just want the home menu to appear when i turn on the tv as i dont use cable tv.

Doesn't work. Mine keeps using TV antenna as default - which isn't plugged in and I have never used it. So annoying, especially as I use my fire remote, so have to keep going back to the LG remote to change the input before I can see the Fire tv.

After my last LG TV upgrade every time I turn the TV on with my dish remote it goes to this stupid screen for LG TV. I then have to hit the back button with my LG remote, then this lets me use the dish remote. This needs to be fixed

“There you have it!” Uhhh, no. Said with love, but this is not how my tv works or looks, and it continues to not only go to hdmi, but start my PS5.

This is the most beautiful and amazing, and wildly frustrating television. The user interface is, again said with love, cruddy. I love this tv, and you guys are doing so well in one area, and so poorly in another.

In latest lg TV's you should go to settings /general/additional /auto launch / switch to recent input.

What if there is no external devices connected to HDMI. We often have local IPTV network application installed and that is used to watch TV.
How to make that kind of app automatically be started when TV is turned on, as default?

I, like every other cord cutter, would like the TV to start in home mode. I have "home autolauch" selected in general settings. Yet, as with most other LG sufferers, the TV launches an unused input (currently antenna).

Doesn’t work. When I turn on the TV, I get a bunch of ads and streaming services. I have to select recent input to get to the HDMI. The last couple of software updates have ruined the interface.

BEFORE FOLLOWING THE STEPS IN THIS VIDEO_ Make sure Auto Launch Home is TURNED OFF... as follows. Note: May be different depending on your model (I have a C3 ):
Settings> General> home settings > Home Auto Launch Home (Turn off)
Or….
Settings > General> System> Additional Settings> Home Settings> Home Auto Launch (Turn off)

I just want it to go to the Home Screen. Why isn’t that an option? I know how to adjust it in the settings for “Home Launch” but that still doesn’t make the tv turn on to the Home Screen. 😡😡😡

Why have a home page that’s you can’t set as a home page? If I want to watch Hulu why do I have to turn it on, press home, and go to Hulu instead. Of just turn it on and go to Hulu? Doesn’t make much sense other than a terribly thought out feature hope you fix it.

One thing they fail to mention is yes that works but when you turn your ps5 on it will automatically reset HDMI1 as your default again…so as long as I never use my ps5 again this method works.

Hello there i am not using any input device nor i am using live tv i do just use netflix and iptv on my LG lcd but when ever i press home button it takes me to the HDMI input device, i want to have the settings like if i press home button every times it should show me available apps

I want to be able to switch inputs without going to home. Sometimes I’ll watch an episode on Hulu, and then switch to my switch input and play a game, and then I want to go back to my show. Right now from the switch I have to do home and start Hulu up all over again. Where can I select the input I was already on for tv so I can go back and forth. On an old tv it would be like hdmi1 and hdmi2 and everything would stay as is. No reopening any apps or turning anything on.
