Interesting twist: Padme's policies to reduce corruption actually expose Palpatine as at least corrupt if not a sith lord. Just as Asoka's instruction on Mandalore expose corrupt official. Palpatine and Dooku are cast out of there political spheres permanently. How would the sith respond, now that politics is out of the picture? PS: After seeing Padme face Palpatine near end I am surprised Anikan does not sense this and involve himself as he always wants to protect padme.

The only problem I had with the story is the fact that the Chiss ascendency does not have first strike doctrine, and they only act in a defensive manner, you leave them alone and they leave you alone. I’m currently reading the Thrawn trilogy so that part stood out . Still a great story
