When you are discussing "play past the cringe" it reminds me of accelerated resolution therapy. It's replacing negative images from trauma events to positive ones, eliminating triggers. It also uses eye movement. It helps with many things! I've done it in therapy about 3 times and it's magical.

in terms of cringe, i just repeat the mantra " everyone has cringe moments " and i dont care anymore . Any body remember dolly magazines ? they had a bunch of probably bad stuff in them BUT they did have a section for writing in embarrassing moments and omg that section saved my sanity in highschool .

The breathing technique works because it informs your parasympathetic nervous system that you're not in danger and allows your body and brain to calm. Think of it as the opposite of hyperventilating, which is what happens in panic/danger.

So I did cyclic sighing while doing a plank at the end of my workout. I normally do 30 seconds plank but today I did my goal of 2 minutes! 1:00

Love your videos! This year I made my vision board in powerpoint and saved it as an image and put it as my computer desktop image. I see it constantly and it makes me feel so good every time :) and I have already achieved a few goals for the year!

I’ve been doing the “timer system “ years now and it’s definitely been working for me.
