If you’re into your watches, chances are there’s a Rolex itch you’ve just got to scratch. Ten years ago, that would’ve been fine, with a Submariner setting you back around £2,500. But with today’s prices, that same Submariner now starts at over double that, and Rolex ownership is becoming more and more of a pipe dream—or so it seems, because all is not lost, not yet. Here are three ways to get into Rolex ownership without breaking the bank.

Featured Watches:
Rolex Oysterquartz DateJust 17014
Rolex Explorer II 16570
Rolex Air-King 14000M

Cheap and Rolex doesn’t go well in the same sentence

I love the simple layout of the air king. No complication with a vanilla looking dial.

Cheapest way to get a Rolex? Well, simply get a Tudor!

I honestly recommend you to go vintage. A Datejust 1601 for example is beautiful, featuring the pie pan dial and the fluted bezel. The only downside is the lack of the quickset function, but that adds to the elegance of it to me. You could pick this ref up for 4.000 euros. It's bang for your buck and is unique as this watch will never be produced anymore.

Its funny to watch this now… You are one of my absolute favorite watch channels, and seeing this now shows me how much you have matured as a presenter in the last couple of years. Your content was just as valuable and accurate back then…You just deliver it these days in a slower, more precise and pronounced manner. I always look forward to every new release you have. Bravo!

The Air King is an entry level watch but in my opinion it is one of the prettiest watches they sell, and the new model comes in 39 mm and the painted dial makes it really interesting

I just bought my first Rolex yesterday. I got a datejust 116200 36mm (have a 6.75 wrist). Pre-owned, box and papers included for $4600. Watch was manufactured in 2008 and in great condition.

The Air King is actually a very nice-looking watch, not disfigured by the vile cyclops. Generally, there are only 2 reasons for buying a Rolex: they hold their value well and everyone knows you own an expensive watch. Of course they are robust and well-made, but so are many many other watches and most of those other watches offer more for less cash.

I have owned several watches and have been on a journey of discovery, I recently purchased my dream watch a date just 2 41mm stainless steal, with a gold bezel and a black face. I don't care about the resale value, I don't care if its the best choice, I fell in love with it, the first watch I fell in love with was a datejust when I was a teenager. I'm so happy and it was the most informed purchase I have ever made. My advice is don't settle wait, save and get the watch you truely want. Thank you for your content and all the best.

My first watch was an Explorer 2 16570 Arctic and I can say with absolute confidence that it is easily one of the best watches Rolex have made.

God I love the look of the oysterquartz, but I just hate that it's quartz so much

Isn’t the top part of the bracelet of the oysterquartz inside out? The ref number of the bracelet should be inside

I bought a Rolex Datejust ref 16234 circa 1989. Stainless steel, silver dial, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet. paid $4000 2 years ago. Its the quintessential perfect Rolex for me.
