You can tell where their skillsets are.
Sean = Buying and selling motorcycles
Craig = Fixing motorcycles

Craig's confidence in Sean after saying he rebuilt the entire carb is priceless 🤣. "Yeah you did" 🤣🤣

Can confirm, asking dealerships if they have any "special" bikes in the back for a deal is always a good chance. When I worked at a dealership, I got a Virago 1000 for a whopping $1 because some guy bought a motorcycle and couldn't bring it back with him, and it was too old to sell on the showroom floor.

Sean was literally, slaving away, at fixing his 500 dollar bike and somehow miraculously accomplishes it. Craig, zeroes in, on the 2 minutes of work his bike needed. Sean's "OH WOW" was freakin hilarious.

I love this video. Sean, your bike is nearly identical to what my dad owned. It's the one that I learned to ride on. I had just had a long term relationship fall apart, and my dad, in a rare moment, walked up to me, handed me the keys, and told me to go get out in the wind, get at one with the Spirit and let the pain ease. We didn't have very many times like that, but that one is etched in my heart forever. My mom wasn't real happy about me going out on it at all, like not a bit. Dad told her that I needed it right now, funny, that was all it took for her to just ask me to be safe and walk back in the house. I burned half a tank of gas, but getting to a nice park, watching the setting sun, praying, thinking, what a memory. I really enjoy your videos brother, keep them coming.

I can relate to the challenge of taking out and rebuilding/cleaning the carburetor. About two years ago I purchased a partially running 1993 Yamaha Virago 750, which looked quite similar to Sean’s. It broke down on my drive home with it. Turned out that the carb needed a makeover. It was a big challenge removing the carb, but especially trying to reinstall it. YouTube was a huge help. Still riding the bike. Thanks for the fun videos Sean and Craig.

Great job Sean. Here's a tip that works well for me: when taking something apart, snap a photo of it first on your phone. When you get down to the next layer snap another photo. Anything that might be tricky to get back together, snap another photo. Then just look back at your phone to put things back together. Ha ha, that was a fun episode.

Way to go, Sean. It's such a great feeling when you fix a problem yourself. I encourage people to learn basic maintenance, especially if they have an older bike. Learning to clean a carburetor or diagnose electrical issues is totally doable in the age of youtube.

It's the same here in the UK, recently bought my first bike after weeks of looking. So many deathtraps out there that people want stupid money for. Always have adverts that go something like, "Easy fix just don't have the time, brakes not working" or "was running when parked, don't know whats wrong but been told it's a quick fix" finally found a good one, running, recent MOT (Yearly safety inspection) passed with no issues and not stupidly priced. Paid the guy full asking price for it because why would I low ball what seemed to be the only honest seller in the UK biking world?

I’m a biker wannabe! I had a Honda 750SS years ago that was supposed to be a cheap motorcycle project - NOT cheap!! Your ingenuity in achieving your goals for this project put a smile on my face! I’m encouraged for my next bike venture! Your show has improved constantly and is the right length and is interesting. Congratulations!

Love these videos Sean, a lot of people only can afford bikes like this, so it actually makes older cheaper bikes so much more fun. I had just as much fun on my mini bike as I have on my road star now. It’s just the love of bikes!

The same time you guys were doing this, i was buying the only titled bike on marketplace under $1000... just so happened to be a black 89 virago 1100.

Got it full of green/yellow gas & "fresh rebuilt" carbs off, flushed fuel system, carbs on, fresh gas, ran good. Cleaned the carbs, runs great.
Now just needs the updated starter gear.

First road bike, got it in pieces, had it ridable within 24hrs. $400 well spent!

OMG!
Im 54 and my first street bike at 16 years old was an 82, 400 Yamaha Heritage Special!
I'm stoked to see that they are still around.
Mine was totaled when an off duty cop ran a red light on a 4 lane street, jumped the lane and wrecked me, my passenger and worst, my bike.
It was small and handled well but my fenders were black not, chrome being it was an 82. One of my favorite options on that bike was the kick start. I felt so Fonzie kicking that thing over and hearing it jump to life.
Sniff. I miss it.
My mint 98, 1100 Shadow Tourer makes me feel a little bit better, though.
Life is full of heartbreak but at least my passenger and I lived to ride again.
Kick start on a bike you could bump start as easy as a 50cc puddle jumper. It was so fun!

I take back everything i ever said about Seans wrenching abilities. I was lmao at his comments about ever getting this back together & knowing when to walk away. But he did it & there was no one prouder except maybe himself. & WELL DESEREVED!!! the smile on his face when he told Craig he rebuilt the carbs, Craig said, you did & Sean says 'I DID" surprised & Proud of himself

My first road bike was a 1981 Yamaha Heritage Special 400. It was dark ruby red and in near mint condition. I bought it from my uncle for 500 bucks sometime around 1986. I rode it through high school and college. Loved that motorcycle.

see how much Sean has learnt from Craig, he used to have a hard time telling the front wheel from the back.
Way to go Craig, you're a Jedi.

I love this. I bought a Virago XV125 as my first bike for £275 and 3 years on, it's still going strong. The engines are phenomenal... everything else is messed up but hey ho. Speedo doesnt work, electrics dont work, ignition is... meh... indicators occasionally mess up, no fuel meter, prone to battery issues, rectifier always fries itself. It has been the best bike to learn from and It will always hold a special place in my heart

My bad, haven’t been around for a bit. Really enjoyed this clip though. I gotta tell you I picked up a’96 Virgo 750 for $1000 2 years ago. Clean title and running. I did some immediate motor cleanup and it runs really great.
