Those 3 points are true.
1. Everybody has intrusive thoughts
2. Thoughts are not reality - so don't ever feel guilty or ashamed
3. Don't suppress it, just let it go

Who else fears that they are not intrusive thoughts and that there is actually something wrong but you know you would not do the intrusive thought

The more you surpress the thoughts the worse they become. I know it's scary and I know it makes you feel like a horrible or disgusting person but don't feel like that, I'm not lying when I say probably anybody you ask will say they get those thoughts. Don't fight the thoughts, don't give them a reaction, don't get upset about them that's what makes them stay.

You're okay, I promise you. The fact that you find the thoughts disgusting and disturbing prove that you're a good person and know they're wrong. I believe in all of you!!!

Has anyone ever been afraid they would wake up one day and be a serial killer? Like you know you wouldnt do it and you know it is evil, but you fear becoming crazy and wanting to kill everyone.

Since 2 weeks out of nowhere i started having very disturbing sexual intrusive thoughts with family members. Seriously, out of nowhere. And since then it's been hell. I can't get these thoughts out of my head. They ruin my day, my sleep. I can't function anymore. I would just close myself in a room or get out. Can't stay in one room with my family. I am so desperate. I hate myself.

My brain is so evil and has so many disturbing thoughts, I don't want to say what due to being very disturbing but my brain is brutal

I think OCD happens when you take your negatives thoughts seriously, as if they were a warning

The thoughts always equal fear. The "what if" I am an evil person? Or "what if" this person or even my pets don't love me?" Etc. etc...

Don't give the thoughts power. Just let them pass. Kill that fear.

I know from severe OCD. I've had it since I was a little kid, and I'm 38 today.

My intrusive thoughts are things like “what if so and so dies” or “what if this person I love gets seriously injured” and then I get paranoid that I might manifest it
