There was a moment completing this when I was on a planet with viscous sentinels, vile brood, and the ghost squids. It was swampy and there were native tentical monsters adding their menace to the scene, and then it got stormy. For a little bit I felt the monster chaos they were going for, and I smiled. But largely, the rest of the quests were tedious. I do like the new ship, though.

Gotta be honest, this expedition was extremely annoying and exhausting. By far, the worst one I've ever completed.

Watch the rate of depletion on that reality boundary shield in certain spots. I went to harvest storm crystals when I noticed my shield was going away like 10% per second. I had to haul ass to get back to the ship and bust out of there quick.

I've never been one for expeditions so I know I missed out on a lot now if they made a system on the anomaly where you could choose the expeditions and do them at your own pace without having to be told you have two weeks to do it or a month, you could do them at your own pace, that would be nice

and obviously I'm saying this because this is the wrong one to start on so tedious I'm only in phase 2 & almost killed my want to play this game

For Arachnophobia, just buy a frew S-class upgrades for the starship infraknife and fly around. It took a little time but was much less frustrating. If I didn't feel like ifghting the sentinel starships, then I would call the anomaly

This one was fun. It only had me pulling my hair out a couple of times, which is a lot less than some expeditions. Didn't really feel like playing NMS when it dropped, but that two week window was certainly a motivating factor. Not sure I'm keen on that time-frame, I like the more leisurely period we usually get.

You can use the Frozen Anomaly planet instead of the [REDACTED] one for the fishing. And the Scaly planet in that system... all three creatures on it count. If you go there first, you're done... you don't need to visit another exotic. That system also has a random derelict event... so you can do that milestone for free if you get an "emergency broadcast" while pulsing and get the derelict.

I got stuck at a portal that didn't recognise my blood offering. Checked everything, all looked okay, tried taking the various steps again, no obvious changes.
I thought it was a bug but then realised that there were a bunch of planets in the system... thought I'd try a different portal. I went up into space & saw that another portal had been highlighted on a distant planet - problem solved, that one worked fine.

This was my first expedition and it felt like a conglomerate of everything I don't like about nms. It was tedious, mindless grind, if there was a story they made sure to hide it damn well from me and those voices that popped up on screen CONSTANTLY where so annoying. I rushed through it to get the cool stuff but I hope so much that this is not what expeditions usually are.

This is one of the best expeditions so far. I loved the constant trying to get away like there was a time limit to save the universe. Hectic

At one point I actually got sucked up into the storm, like I was in a tornado. Idk if it was a glitch, but I think it’s happened to me once before a long time ago

Pro tip: run around a bit during wave 5 and let the alert level drop. Then repeat. At levels 3, 4 and 5 you get spiders. I got 8 easily like this.

Also, the Derelict Freighter in the first system is AMAZING. I got 4 Salvaged modules and tons of containers. No sentinels, just green jellyfish. I got close to 600 tainted metal from containers alone! Turning in BOTH the rewards to the dealer easily brought me to 1k.

wish iv seen this video before starting the expedition, but after a bit of pain i manage to finish it and i have the cool ship now.

I started from my main save and spawned deep under water and my ship was on a small island with no di-hydrogen. Needless to say, I died multiple times while trying to swim to any nearby island so I could make the elixir. I eventually gave up, started fresh and finished without too many difficulties. Glad it’s only two weeks so I can reclaim my main save without waiting six weeks.

i had tto stop playing this event as the skybox moves and it can change day and night very fast but it has some unforeseen effects it gave me a nasty headache i just couldn't go back on it after im not sure if the painkillers i took will help

I finished this expedition in one sitting, 7 hours straight it was amazing. I really tough it's kinda short and easy as a bonus 😂

I used the pet egg I from the expadtion but never got the pet pls help. Is it because I used the egg on my freighter?
