What the hell happens when there's coastal flooding during a hurricane?

Elon had a plan of using off shore oil rigs to launch Starship. I think it is time to put that plan into practice.

It's a ruse. SpaceX is not damaging the environment any more than normal weather does.

They did not break the law, there is a mix up between offices in the TCEQ They told SpaceX to go ahead then when a complaint was filed, reneged on the verbal approvals that SPaceX relied on, will get settled

Boca Chica isn't very far from Mexico. Be careful who you try to shut down.

Hmm it sounds like FAA is still in bed with Boeing. Would this mean the two stranded astronauts will have to climb aboard BOEINGS faulty craft.

Glad it rains saltwater into the basin rather than fresh water otherwise Mother Nature would get fined.

If you looked at their permit application, you would see that there several typos in the tables with 1000x bigger numbers than what the attached lab protocols say. There is something fishy about that "environmental issue".

Hello from Greece! I think FAA should not be causing delays to every Starship launch in the name of ecosystem, etc. Because these attempts would not have had taken place if it weren't Elon Musk himself. Humanity has no plenty of time to escape this dying planet. FAA concerns on saving one species of birds, another of fish, whatever, should give priority to saving human life for the centuries ahead.

There is no public safety issue involved with catching the booster, as the public is kept far, far away.

You want them to do the right thing, and I agree. But my question is: what is the "right thing, " how do we define it, and, more importantly, who gets to define it? If the FAA and other government or environmental agencies have this power, we must recognize that they may not always be right. I'm not suggesting there's a conspiracy against SpaceX, but excessive bureaucracy can sometimes be just as harmful. In my opinion, they are taking too long between flights due to these regulations.

i don't want to sound like a silver foil waring guy "BUT" the FAA is spending much more time bothering SPACEX about their clean up systems then they are about all the airports in our whole country.

Government regulators need to work harder to move faster, not just put up roadblocks.
