2:05 It’s very important to give extra attention to the area around the flaps, especially with today’s sponsor, Henson Shaving…

Having NASA butt in like "Damn FAA you play too much" would definitely make my month

If NASA takes hand on this and bypass the FAA's SpaceX licence, my respect to NASA will be restored.

The side of the parking garage where they are mounting all these slats is going to have a giant illuminated SpaceX logo similar to the one above the entry to the launch pads.

The "explainer" video about how NASA is normally in charge of experimental and development launches and the FAA normally doesn't step in and begin licensing launches until regular commercial flights are happening, was the best thing you guys have done, ever! Hilarious how you explained how that process works with historical launches without specifically mentioning starship in the video. Making the connection here, and linking to the other video is brilliant.

Option 4: SpaceX lunches with a FT4 profile.

In the first FAA response to NSF about the new license request, you all mentioned that the FAA said SpaceX could launch right now with a FT4 profile. There is a ton that SpaceX could test, including the new thermal protection system. And there is another set of vehicles that are essentially ready for a late Nov launch.

Think about it - after FT4, Elon challenged SpaceX to do a catch with the next flight. How many SpaceX engineers crapped their pants when they heard that? That was clearly pushing things. SpaceX very likely had a different plan for FT5. Why not go ahead and move forward with that initial plan and get the data from those other objectives while waiting for the new FAA approval?

Remember SpaceX is dealing with a government department for the license. They can simultaneously issue NOTAMs and say the license will be issued in November because different departments within the FAA don’t talk to each other.

The NASA scenario would be the best thing for everybody. But I wouldn't be opposed to just going ahead if it's actually safe. It's one thing if there's a real disagreement, but FAA is actually so arrogant that it's just like "We'll get around to it when we feel like it"? Naw, launch. This program is very important.

Maybe it's time to limit the FAA to airplcrafts and ket NASA handle spacecrafts.

Can't wait to see the pad B launch mount and trench complete. Really curious how deep the flame trench will be. Clearly it should be not just wider but deeper than the one at Masseys since its got to handle way, way more thrust.

It seems that FAA is treating the Starship as though it is not in development but that it is ready for commercial deployments.
