SpaceX & FAA Drama

SpaceX and the FAA have been going back and forth as the company attempts to complete Starship Flight 5 in a timely manner.

The FAA is treating the permit process to where if you change punctuation on a document, it requires a 30 minimum delay for their review. If the entire document isn't boilerplate of the launch prior, they need time to wrap their heads around it. We need an agency separate from the FAA whose sole job is to assist the companies launch. Most issues can and should be corrected in a meeting of agencies, penciling in the needed changes and initialed off by all parties, foregoing the delays. Verifications should take place as the corrections are made. This will minimize any delays. The current 30 days for each correction in the regulatory language needs to be eliminated. If the FAA can't keep up, they need to get out of the way.

Probably because of the recent Supreme Court ruling on the Chevron Case pertaining to regulators making law instead of the Legislative Branch. They just may launch anyway to bring the FAA to the forefront in a major lawsuit against their overreach.
