Awsome tutorial video. I like more this format of a tutorial than the couch talk you usually do, this one is straight to the point and quick to watch.

Many thanks for this webinar!! Tried it today on the local network and it worked great -- had initial connection hiccups but changing the Multi-Cast Endpoint from 230.0.0.1:6666 to 234.0.0.1:6666 fixed it. Cheers

That’s SO neat. I’m the only one on my team, expanding to multiple devices and needed to make sure when traveling everything I do on my laptop will be brought home to my main computer. So if I ever have another person working with me, I’m allll set up 🎉

00:10 🖥 The Multi-User Editor in Unreal enables real-time collaboration where multiple users can work together on the same project simultaneously.
01:35 🌐 Multi-User Editing supports collaboration across platforms, such as Windows, VR, Mac OS, and iPad, enhancing flexibility.
03:02 🚀 To use Multi-User Editing effectively, all participants must run the same Engine version, be on the same LAN or VPN, and start from the same project state.
07:09 🌐 Collaboration involves creating a server, joining sessions, and persisting changes. Users can work on the same assets, manage locks, and save changes to the server.
15:31 🎨 Collaborators can make simultaneous changes, with certain adjustments automatically visible, while others need to be saved and persisted for synchronization.
18:25 🌱 Multi-user collaboration in Unreal Engine allows real-time editing and painting of assets.
19:24 🎥 Collaborators can work simultaneously, creating cinematics and animations.
22:29 🕶 Virtual Scouting tools enable real-time virtual production, scene blocking, lighting, notes, and measurements.
24:03 🔌 Setup for Virtual Scouting involves enabling plugins, adjusting settings, and using VR tools.
26:15 ✍ VR Scouting tools offer features like measuring, marking, lighting, and interactable objects for collaborative scene design.

Could the modifications be redone? is the system safe? (users might make mistakes, steal, corrupt, etc) and also can the host manage the users and modifications?

Is there a VR plugin for UE4 to work in the editor for creating landscapes? Wish I could fly about a scene sculpting with VR brushes and lining up the placement of 3D assets.

Hello! Awsome stuff!
I have a question: after the session is created, adding new packs from the UE Marketplace to the project will be replicated to other clients?

For those trying to work in a non-lan situation. ZeroTier works perfectly and is free. You just set the IP and endpoints as the ZeroTier ones once the Zerotier network is set up.

What if one person is importing new mesh into the content browser, would the other person be updated?

could someone help me? the new Unreal Engine 5 version is out for 2 days and I'm trying to create a game together with a colleague, but the collaboration does not work! do I have to pay attention to something special? We use as VPN Nord VPN and a dedicated server we both have the IP4 addresses correctly entered as in the video and are both on the same server but when he searches for the server he does not find the project in Unreal Engine. I ask for help! Thank you
