I heard that when Paul drove to wembley, he could actually hear live aid coming from peoples houses as they had their sound cranked up so high.

Geldof made lots of money out of live aid and is still living off it

It is true, no bullshit! I was watching on TV the actual day in 1985 - the sound really did stop. It was obvious the crowd couldn't hear him, Paul looked confused as to why the audience weren't singing, then when they started to sing, Geldof etc came out & joined in. I bought the dvd of it years later & the sound was dubbed. The volume of the whole thing was actually louder on the day, or was it because all the neighbours' tvs were turned
Paul did not appear scared of anything. He had played many gigs since John died.

Bob Geldof's various companies makes fortunes in Africa every year..
But don't worry all his businesses are registered " Off Shore ".
So he can avoid paying taxes in the continent he allegedly cares so much about....
What a legend...

Paul hadn't played since John died? Didn't he play many times live with Wings?

Live aid did more for bob geldof than bob geldof ever did for live aid..
Boom town rats were finished..then midge ure did live aid and geldof jumped on the bandwagon

Bob's a wrong un'. Johnnie fingers had to remortgage his house to fight Geldof in court for a share of the royalties for 'I don't like Mondays' the song that Geldof took full credit for.. For me the gist of the song is the piano parts..they grab you first then hold the song together throughout... shame on Bob...Nice one Johnnie Fingers...out of court settlement and henceforth credited as co composer.

I always wonder how much these musicians could raise if they put their hands in their own pockets ?

I was on the crew and we all crapped ourselves when the mic feed was dropped to the main desk. He just looked confused because he could still hear himself in the monitors. Across the whole day in London, the only real fails we had with the sound were for Macca and Bob himself. No biggy. 🥴
