No pyrotechnics, no big screen behind them, no laser light show. Just four absolutely mind blowing musicians giving an amazing, all time performance.

This is 39 years ago and it's still incredible. Freddie could sing 3-4 octaves! A musical genius. He fought to the end. Today he could have been saved. ❤

You know what's crazy? All those people in the audience are in their 60's and 70's. We never thought we would get old. Forever young. Time doesn't stand still.

Widely regarded as the best 20 minutes of live rock ever, Queen stole the show with this set. No one expected them to own Live Aid…but they came out of left field and surprised everyone. When you consider the fact that this was not a Queen show but a festival, never has an audience been so engaged. Magnificent!

I like how everyone is living in the moment. No cellphones. Just clapping in sync and singing along. What a time…what a moment.

I am in Tanzania for work and fly home today. I had a free day yesterday and took the ferry from Dar Es Salaam to Zanzibar where Freddie Mercury was born. I visited the museum that was created in his honour on the ground floor of the house where he lived. It is small but quite moving, with his music playing in the background. It motivated to watch, yet again, Queen's iconic 1985 Live Aid concert. Freddie was said, "I'm not going to be a Star, I'm going to be a Legend." He was right.

This was the greatest live performance of all time. Everything here are off the charts. Roger Taylor's drumming was second to none. John Deacon was stellar playing the bass guitar. Brian May was awesome in the lead guitar. Freddie Mercury's powerful voice was out of this world. Queen is not all about Freddie Mercury, he's sorrounded by highly talented musicians as well.

The camera men and the director are unsung heroes here, this was a live broadcast, streamed across the world with no rehearsal, almost 40 years ago. The panning up as Freddie lifts his arm at, just so much so the sun breaks through to give that golden glow.

I remember watching this performance as a 12 year old girl. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. I’d never seen anything like it and haven’t to this day. The greatest performance of all time hands down.
