I don't care whoo you are and what you've done in life. If you get to share your stage with Paul McCartney, it is the absolute coolest moment of your life. As a Billy Joel fan, seeing him share the stage with Paul is just.... man oh man.

The Piano Man yields his piano to The Beatles. There really is no other option here.

Out of all of the concerts and shows I've been to over the last 25 years... this was my all-time favorite... being there in that crowd was electrifying. Absolutely appropriate that Paul was able to play the last live song there, closing the circle he started there with The Beatles.

How wonderful: Billy did not let his ego rule and co-sing but simply added a perfect background voice. His mastership contributed to an - if possible - even greater mastership of Sir Paul. What a truly gifted musicians.

When Paul McCartney shows up at your concert, it's now a Paul concert.

Because Paul & The Beatles were/are Billy's idols. They are who made him decide he wanted to be a musician after seeing them on that infamous Ed Sullivan show. Just so happens he is friends with Sir Paul now! Billy Joel is a humble, gracious human being.

Talk about closing the circle! The Beatles performed at Shea to 55, 000 fans in 1965 and were the first major stadium concert in the world. Half the audience weren't born when they broke up but everybody knows the songs! In fact, the band had rehearsed " I Saw her Standing There " in case Paul made the show. But " Let It Be " was totally unrehearsed and they nailed it! Love the roar of recognition when Paul plays the opening chords! A rapturous experience! ( Much better sound system than in 1965! )

Fair play to Billy. Making that jump onto the piano was a tough call and well executed. Lovely moment of musical history...the coming together of Billy and Paul.

I’m so happy for that band. They played “Let it Be” with the dude who wrote it. And Billy let us all have it. Fantastic.

The thing about the band being able to just pick this up and play it... any professional rock musician worth their salt grew up listening and learning some Beatle songs, especially guys who would be in a band with Billy Joel. So they have no doubt played along with this song and played it to themselves a 100 times in their lives. That's how it is when your songs are so enormous, so important and so fundamental to the world of music. Thank you, Paul McCartney, for all you have given us.

No words can describe how much I love this! Fifteen years ago and it seems like yesterday. Note fans with actual cameras! Love that too.

That was a really cool moment in Rock and Roll history. I feel sorry for about half of the fans though. It was supposed to be a one night final show, Last Play at Shea, and Paul was not going to be able to make it. Then Billy found out Paul would be available one night later, and they played a second and truly final "final" concert. A real treat for those who got to see Paul, but a real bummer for those who missed him a night earlier.

I know I am saying what countless others are thinking which is that we are watching the greatest, most influential rock star of all time. It's hard not to realize that at 80, we will be lucky to have him around for another ten years but that's the hardest pill to swallow. I hope I'm gone whenever that day arrives as life without this God of all legends will be too depressing to go through.McCartney and his legacy can never be equalled!
