JustAnswer Customer: I have two brown wires from the furnace blower motor that were connected to the run capacitor.
JustAnswer Customer: I noted which terminal was connected, but my markings on the wires came off.
JustAnswer Customer: When I connect the new motor wires to the new run capacitor does it make any difference which brown wire goes to which terminal?
JustAnswer Customer: (It is a Trane XL80 circa 2000)?
JustAnswer Customer: Thanks.
BillyHvac: Journeyman HVAC Tech: Hello, Sorry for the delay.
BillyHvac: Journeyman HVAC Tech: You can place either wire on the terminals.
BillyHvac: Journeyman HVAC Tech: This is a 2 terminal capacitor so the placement does not matter as long as there is a wire on each set.
BillyHvac: Journeyman HVAC Tech: Billy
JustAnswer Customer: While there are two terminal each terminal has four separate fins.
JustAnswer Customer: I noted on the old capacitor which fin was connected.
BillyHvac: Journeyman HVAC Tech: all the fins are the same connection.
JustAnswer Customer: I thought so, but I felt best to check.
JustAnswer Customer: Thanks so much for your assistance.
JustAnswer Customer: Have a great week!
JustAnswer Customer: Best wishes, Noel Kubel
